Release information
In Japan, Typhlosion was made available as one of the L-P Promotional cards through the September 2009 issue of the "Pokémon Fan" magazine. It was later reprinted in the Call of Legends expansion with new artwork by the same artist.
Trivia
The promotional version of this card was printed with a graphic hiding the Fire Spin attack.
Origin
Magma Punch may be derived from Fire Punch, a move in the Pokémon games that Typhlosion can learn. Fire Spin is also a move in the games, but Typhlosion cannot learn it. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon SoulSilver.
