Places to go: Ecruteak City

• Ecruteak City is an old-fashioned city located in northern Johto, situated in the woods between tall Mt. Mortar and the open fields near Johto's western shores.
• It is home to the Ghost-type Ecruteak City Gym with Gym Leader Morty.
• Two towers are situated in the northern side of the city: the Bell Tower and the Burned Tower, the previous homes of Ho-Oh and Lugia, respectively.
• The city's motto in Generation II is "A Historical City Where the Past Meets the Present." The motto in Generation IV is simply "A Historical City."
• Ecruteak City and the two towers are featured as the background in many card illustrations throughout the HeartGold & SoulSilver Series, such as Bayleef and Koffing.
