:::Also, I believe Mirror Coat and Counter are a special case, because both are counter moves, being the first for Special moves and the second for Physical moves. They could create a Physical move that counter Special moves (or vice-versa), but I think it's natural to use a Special move to counter a Special move. Finally, look at the flavor text for Mirror Coat and Counter, they're pretty much the same. Usually, move variations share some kind of pattern in their flavor text, which reflects in their base power, category and target. --[[User:Blow|Blow]] '''([[User talk:Blow|話す]])''' 15:29, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Isn't this a move variation of Earthquake? U2kheim 00:35, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Nope. They differ in category and target. --Blow (話す) 02:40, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Also, I believe Mirror Coat and Counter are a special case, because both are counter moves, being the first for Special moves and the second for Physical moves. They could create a Physical move that counter Special moves (or vice-versa), but I think it's natural to use a Special move to counter a Special move. Finally, look at the flavor text for Mirror Coat and Counter, they're pretty much the same.
