This card was first released in the Expedition Base Set, Base Expansion Pack in Japan, with artwork by Keiji Kinebuchi. Itwas later reprinted in the EX Team Magma vs Team Aqua and EX Deoxys expansions in English, and the Magma VS Aqua: Two Ambitions expansion, Deoxys Constructed Starter Deck, and Movie Commemoration VS Pack: Space Fissure's Deoxys in Japan with the same artwork. It was later reprinted in the EX Dragon Frontiers expansion, originating from the Offense and Defense of the Furthest Ends expansion in Japan, with new artwork by Shizurow.
This card was later reprinted in the EX Team Magma vs Team Aqua and EX Deoxys sets with a full-frame view of the same artwork, and in EX Dragon Frontiers with new artwork by Shizurow. These releases add the word "already" after "doesn't" in the Pokémon Tool text, then another sentence to the text, "If that Pokémon is Knocked Out, discard this card."  Additionally, those prints add "to the Active Pokémon" before the italicized clause in parenthesis.  The EX Deoxys print further reworded the effect to read as follows:
