Santa Claus is a character in the Pokémon anime who is based on the Santa Claus (St. Nicholas) of holiday fame. He is the Pokémon World's version of Santa Claus. He has the same tasks as the ogriginal Santa: giving away gifts to all the good children all over the world with his sleigh.
His sleigh was originally pulled by Ponyta, though this role was given to Stantler after its debut in Generation II.
