Roark's Rampardos (Japanese: ヒョウタのラムパルド Hyouta's Rampard) is Roark's main Pokémon in the anime. With many powerful attacks, it is a force to be reckoned with.
It first appeared in Shapes of Things to Come as a Cranidos. Roark used it against Paul. It knew many powerful attacks such as Zen Headbutt and Flamethrower. Cranidos managed to defeat Paul's Chimchar before losing to his Elekid, but not without giving a fierce battle.
It again appeared in A Gruff Act to Follow. This time Roark used it against Ash. It defeated Ash's Aipom and weakened Pikachu and Turtwig so that Roark's Onix could finish them off, thus defeating Ash.
Cranidos evolved into Rampardos in Wild in the Streets during a fight with Team Rocket. Ash then challenged Roark for a rematch in O'er the Rampardos we Watched. Rampardos managed to easily defeat Aipom and Pikachu and almost defeated Ash's Turtwig. But Turtwig managed to win due to quick thinking on Ash's part.
