Pokémon Music Channel, sometimes shortened to Pokémusic, are two radio stations in Pokémon Gold, Silver, Crystal, HeartGold, and SoulSilver. In Johto, the program is known as Pokémon Music, hosted by DJ Ben, and is on channel 7.5 on the PokéGear's radio. In Kanto, the program is known as Let's All Sing, and is hosted by DJ Fern on channel 18.5. In Pokémon Crystal, HeartGold, and SoulSilver, the EXPN Card is required to listen to the Kanto station.

Pokémon Music Channel broadcasts different pieces of music on different days of the week, each with different effects.

Pokémon March

The Pokémon March increases wild Pokémon encounter rate when played, much like the White Flute in later generations.

  • In Generation II: The song plays on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
  • In Generation IV: The song plays on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday pre-National Pokédex, and only on Monday and Wednesday post-National Pokédex.

Pokémon Lullaby

The Pokémon Lullaby decreases wild Pokémon encounter rate when played, much like the Black Flute in later generations.

  • In Generation II: The song plays on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
  • In Generation IV: The song plays on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday pre-National Dex, and only on Tuesday and Saturday post-National Dex.

Pokémon Past Archive

The Pokémon Past Archive is only accessible in Generation IV, after the player has acquired the National Pokédex. It has no function in the field, but like the GB Player, it plays chiptunes from Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal. It primarily plays music that the player cannot normally listen to with the GB Player, such as the game's opening and ending themes. It plays on Sunday.

Hoenn Sound

The Hoenn Sound channel is also accessible only in Generation IV, post-National Dex. It plays a remixed version of the Route 101 theme, which attracts certain wild Hoenn Pokémon. The song plays on Wednesday.

Sinnoh Sound

The Sinnoh Sound channel, much like the Hoenn Sound channel, can attract wild Pokémon from Sinnoh with a remix of the Route 201 theme. It is only available in Generation IV, post-National Dex. The song plays on Thursday.

Trivia

  • The Hoenn Sound channel plays on Wednesday, the third day of the week in some parts of the world. This seems to correspond with Generation III. Likewise, the Sinnoh Sound channel plays on Thursday, sometimes considered the fourth day, matching Generation IV.
