Professor Nanakamado in the anime
Professor ? (Japanese: ナナカマドはかせ Dr. Nanakamado) is the resident professor of Shin'ō. His Japanese name is the word for the Rowan tree, going with the pattern established by the English translation of the games of naming the regional professor after a tree.
In the anime, he first appeared in Departure! From Futaba Town to Masago Town!! to give Hikari her Pochama.
