A Pokémon Journey is a journey taken by a Trainer to gather gym badges and become the champion of the Elite Four or to collect ribbons and to win the Grand Festival. A trainer can start their journey at the age of 10. That's when trainers can receive their Pokémon license. Before they start their journey, they can choose a starter Pokémon, which can be handed out by a Pokémon Professor of their region or by a Nurse Joy of a Pokémon Center. A trainer may travel alone or be accompany by friends or by people they meet on their way. On their journey, trainers can stay at a Pokémon Center free of charge to rest and heal their Pokémon.
