Release information

This card's true first appearence was in the Japanese Pokémon VS expansion and in the unofficial English Tyranitar Half Deck for the 2001 Tropical Mega Battle. The card was translated under the tentative name of Pokémon Reverse.
It was reprinted in EX Ruby & Sapphire with new artwork by Hiromichi Sugiyama, which is famous for seemingly mangling the intended effect (see above). The change caused quite a stir, as if the effect had been changed from being a "flip for Gust of Wind" to "flip for half a Warp Point". An errata was ultimately issued so that the card was treated more like the Expedition print with a slight tweak for 2-on-2 play. The reprinted versions that appeared in EX FireRed & LeafGreen and EX Unseen Forces featured the adjusted text.It was reprinted in the HeartGold & SoulSilver expansion with new artwork by Wataru Kawahara. The Japanese release of this print was reclassified as a Goods card, but the English did not adopt this name and continued classifying it as a Trainer card.
