Release information

This card originated in the Base Set with artwork done by Keiji Kinebuchi. This print was released again in the Nivi City Gym and Yamabuki City Gym Japanese theme decks, as well as Base Set 2. The card was reprinted with different artwork by "Big Mama" Tagawa as a Wizards Black Star Promo distributed at the November 2001 opening of Pokémon Center New York. It was later released as a Stadium card in the Black & White Collection with new artwork by Yuri Umemura.

Trivia

On the Base Set print of this card, "Pocket Monsters" can be clearly seen on the English translation of the card. This is one of the few times that the English cards refer to Pokémon as "Pocket Monsters".
