As a bonus, these monthly releases each contained a sheet of stickers which were not included in the regular volume releases. The following monthly comic book issues were released:

Trivia

  • Despite Red's Poli debuting as a Poliwhirl, the contents page of this volume show Red with a Poliwag.
  • Charmander is shown to have spines on its back on the title page, this is the same as on its Generation I back sprites, but is absent in those of future generations.

Errors

There are a few spelling and grammar errors in the brief description of the second volume.

    • "See Red in his disguise!" is "See Red is disguise!".
    • "An appearance by Mew!" is "An appearans by Mew!".
    • "A mysterious living thing!" is "Mysterious Living Thing!".
