The Member Card (Japanese: メンバーズカード Member's Card) is a key item available only in Pokémon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum through a Nintendo Event which allows players to travel to Newmoon Island and obtain Darkrai.
Nintendo has announced that players of Pokémon Platinum will be able to download the Member Card over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection from December 1 to January 15, 2009.
After downloading the ticket via Mystery Gift and getting it from the man in green at any Poké Mart, the player should go to Canalave City and enter the Harbor Inn. There, a man will insist that the player has a reservation, and after falling into a deep sleep, the player will be on Newmoon Island. He or she will not be able to leave until Darkrai is captured or defeated.
