May (Japanese: ハルカ Haruka, German: Maike, French: Flora) is a ten-year-old girl travelling through Hoenn with Ash, Brock, and her little brother Max. She's the daughter of Norman and Caroline, and her first Pokémon was a Torchic.
May is a Pokémon Coordinator who enters her Pokémon in Pokémon Contests to win ribbons.
May is the first person in the Pokémon Anime to catch a Generation IV Pokémon, she caught Munchlax in the episode "May Deliciously Captures Munchlax".
