Trivia

  • This card's Elemental Blast attack is identical to the attack of the same name on the Lugia ex from EX Unseen Forces, which in turn is based off the first Lugia card from Neo Genesis.
  • Although Lugia is Psychic/Flying in the games, it is depicted here as a Water-type Pokémon. Interestingly, unlike most other part-Flying Pokémon, it has previously been depicted as a Colorless-type just as often as it has as a Psychic-type.
  • On the card's entry, a typo has the word It spelled with two Is, making it say IIt instead of It.

Origin

Elemental Blast is a reference to Lugia's role as the master of the legendary birds, requiring one energy each of Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres's TCG types to use. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon SoulSilver.
