It has no use in these games and has not yet been made legitimately available. Regardless, it does have a use in {{game|Black and White|s}}. The Lock Capsule has two different menu sprites, one for {{v2|HeartGold and SoulSilver|s}} and one for {{v2|Black and White|s}}.

In-game data reveals the following about the Lock Capsule: a menu option "VIEW LOCK CAPSULE CARD", event data "The Lock Capsule is held in the strictest safekeeping." and "The Lock Capsule was delivered safely!" It cannot be obtained in game; it is expected to be made obtainable via a future {{pkmn2|event}}.

Its in-game data is similar to the {{p|Manaphy}} Egg, which can be transferred from {{ga|Pokémon Ranger}} to any of the five [[Generation IV]] main series games. The Lock Capsule itself is transferable to {{game|Black and White|s}}, where it can be opened to reveal the exclusive {{TM|95|Snarl}}.  
===Effect===
In Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, it has no use. If received via [[Mystery Gift]], the menu option "VIEW LOCK CAPSULE CARD" will appear in the Mystery Gift menu, displaying "The Lock Capsule is held in the strictest safekeeping." as Wonder Card text. It can then be transferred to Pokémon Black and White by using the [[Relocator]], which will change the Wonder Card text to "The Lock Capsule was delivered safely!".


The Lock Capsule is rendered moot in {{game|Black and White|s|Pokémon Black 2 and White 2|2}}, as TM95 is available without it.
In Pokémon Black and White, it can be opened by Mr. Lock in [[Castelia City]], allowing the {{player}} to retrieve the exclusive TM95 (Snarl) from inside it.

The Lock Capsule (Japanese: ロックカプセル Lock Capsule) is an unobtainable Key Item that was first included in the game data of Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. It is not legitimately available in any game. The Lock Capsule's menu sprite differs between Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver and Pokémon Black and White.

In Pokémon Black and White, it would have been the only way to obtain TM95 (Snarl), but was never released. In Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, TM95 can be obtained in regular gameplay.

Effect

In Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, it has no use.
