Release information

This card was released in the English Base Set, first originating from the Japanese Expansion Pack. It was later reprinted in the English Base Set 2 expansion.

When this card was first released during the 1st Edition print run of Base Set, the name was spelled as Impostor Professor Oak. This spelling of the name persisted through the Shadowless print run, and was only afterward changed to Imposter for the Unlimited print run. Imposter was then used for Base Set's 4th print, and the reprint in Base Set 2.
