This card was originally released in the {{TCG|Expedition Base Set}}, originating in the {{TCG|Base Expansion Pack}}, with artwork by [["Big Mama" Tagawa]]. This print was used up to the {{TCG|EX Crystal Guardians}} expansion. Dual Ball was reclassified in Japan as an {{TCG|Item card}} during the HeartGold & SoulSilver Series, though the English Trainer cards did not adopt this naming convention until after this card's latest print. Both {{TCG|Unleashed}} and {{TCG|Call of Legends}} featured new artwork by [[Takashi Yamaguchi]].
