A Collector (Japanese: ポケモンコレクター Pokémon Collector) is a type of Pokémon trainer that first debuted in the Generation III games. They are generally depicted as overweight nerdy young men carrying many Poké Balls.
They use version-exclusive Pokémon, and often talk about how they wish to catch rare Pokémon.

In the anime
Lawrence III called himself a collector. While his design is different from that of the trainer class, he shares the common interest in rare Pokémon.
