A Collector (Japanese: ポケモンコレクター Pokémon Collector) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that first debuted in the Generation III games. They are generally depicted as overweight, nerdy young men carrying many Poké Balls.
In Generation III, they use version-exclusive Pokémon, and in Generation IV, they usually use three Pokémon of the same species. They often talk about how they wish to catch rare Pokémon.
In Generation I, one of Bill's titles was the Collector.
