For the coins used in the Pokémon Trading Card Game, see Coin (TCG).

A coin is a type of currency used in the Pokémon games. Coins are used to play slot machines, card flip (in Generation II), or roulette (in Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald) at the Game Corners, and can also be redeemed for prizes, such as items, TMs, or Pokémon. A Coin Case is required to store these coins.

Coins can be bought in amounts of 50 for $1000 or, starting in Generation II, in increments of 500 for $10000.

Dropped coins can be found on the floor of the Game Corner in certain games and can be collected by the player. Some people may give the player free coins, normally 10 or 20. This is useful if the player wishes to start gambling without having to buy any coins. Template:Gamestub
