Disambiguation pages can refer to multiple things; therefore, they have links pointing users to more specific articles. For example, if you were to search for Pikachu, a disambiguation page would come up, saying that Pikachu is a species of Pokémon, but that it is also a Pokémon belonging to Ash Ketchum, that it is featured in the game Hey You, Pikachu!, and pretty much everything about any Pikachu.

There have been complaints that disambiguation pages are annoying, especially to people with internet connections, as it takes long to load, and then they have to load yet another page. The answer to this is simple, however. If you are searching for the species, simply put (Pokémon) behind the name of the species. This will always direct you to the page of the species. If you are looking for a specific one, put the name of the owner in front of the name, for example: Ash's Pikachu. If you are looking for a game, it will usually not go to a disambiguation page if you type the name of the set. So Pearl should not by put in, but rather Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.

There have also been complaints about some users not knowing how to type the é in Pokémon, sometimes making disambiguation pages unavoidable. On a lot of keyboards made my wp:Microsoft, to get an é, the key should be pressed once, and then the e key. This will result in an é. On a lot of keyboards made by wp:Apple, to get an é you must ??????
