Bill (Japanese: マサキ Masaki) is a Pokémon Researcher, widely regarded as an expert in many fields, who makes many appearances in both the games and the anime. Bill is commonly in his lighthouse, which is north of Cerulean City. He is most notable for his first entrance in the Red, Blue, and Yellow Versions, his Pokémon storage system, and his posession of the Evolution Stones. Bill is also a major player in the Evolutions: Destinies game.

Gold, Silver, and Crystal

In Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal, Bill lives with his family in Goldenrod. After he gets the Time Machine up and running in Ecruteak City, players can visit him for an Eevee.

Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald

While visiting Lanette, players can check one of her computers to find an E-mail from Bill. This is the only time that he is mentioned in the game.
