A bicycle is an item obtained in the games to facilitate faster movement. The Cycling Road can only be used while cycling.

Bicycle: This is the bicycle found in the Generation I, Generation II and in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen. It allows you to move faster than walking.
Mach Bike: This type of bicycle is only available in Hoenn. It allows you to move fast enough to ride over weak ground or straight up a sandy hill. If you hit something, all momentum gained is lost and the speed resets.
Acro Bike: This type of bicycle is only available in Hoenn. It travels at the same speed as the bicycle and allows you to perform tricks, such as the wheelie or the bunny hop, that allow you to reach new places.
