However, Bouffulant is mad at Alder for sleeping and makes a U-turn during his Head Charge, ramming Alder into a tree. Everyone decides to take a trip to the nearby [[Pokémon Center]], where there is lots of food to eat. Trip departs, having lost interest in battling Alder. The kids are very happy to see Alder, too. However, Officer Jenny notifies [[Nurse Joy]] that a dangerous {{p|Gigalith}} has been attacking the citizens of Route 5. Nurse Joy asks Alder to do the job, so he does. Everyone goes out to see what is happening. Officer Jenny's {{p|Herdier}} uses {{m|Shadow Ball}}, but it doesn't do a thing. Gigalith begins to rampage towards Alder and Alder gets knocked out. Then, Gigalith starts to rampage towards the gang, but Alder gets back him, lifts up Gigalith and throws out. They all go to see what was wrong with Gigalith and notice a nail got stuck in its foot. Gigalith charges toward him, but he catches it and flips it over. Alder bends over and takes a nail out of Gigalith's foot. Alder sprays a potion an Gigalith's foot and gives it a stone to eat. It flips itself back over, much happier. Jenny insists on arresting Gigalith. Alder tries to reason with her, but then a pillar starts to topple right on top of Jenny! Gigalith jumps on top of her and stops the pillar. Jenny agrees to not arrest it, and Alder sends it on it's way. |

Ash Versus the Champion! (Japanese: サトシVSチャンピオン・アデク！ Satoshi VS Champion Adeku!) is the 52nd episode of the Best Wishes series, and the 709th episode of the Pokémon anime. It first aired in Japan on October 13, 2011 and in the United States on March 10, 2012.
Synopsis
