Adaptability (Japanese: てきおうりょく Adaptability) is an Ability introduced in Generation IV.
Effect
In battle
Adaptability increases STAB of a Pokémon with this Ability from 1.5× to 2×.
Outside of battle
Adaptability has no effect outside of battle.

In other games
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series
In Explorers of Time, Darkness, and Sky, Adaptability increases STAB from 1.5× to 2×.
In Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, the boost is instead from 1.2× to 1.5×.
Pokémon UNITE
In Pokémon UNITE, Adaptability is Ability of an Eevee that will evolve into an Sylveon. It increases the user's Special Attack by 5% for 1.5s, when it deals or receives damage, stacking up to 4 times. This becomes Pixilate upon evolving.
