Hiroyuki Tani (Japanese: 谷博行[1] Tani Hiroyuki) is a planner who has worked at Game Freak since 2014[2]. He started as a programmer at CyberConnect but became a planner when he joined Game Freak[1]. He has been involved with the main series Pokémon games as a planner starting with Pokémon Sun and Moon, served as the director of Pokémon Sword and Shield Expansion pass and, on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, he served as the Planning Section Director and the lead planner for Pokémon AI. On Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, he was responsible for the Alola Photo Club and the Mantine Surf.[3]
