History

Pre-series

Diana in her childhood, finding the mysterious pendant

Some time before the events of HZ001, Diana gave a mysterious pendant to her granddaughter. She told Liko that she should trust her Pokémon to face fear and that this pendant would become important for her in the future.

At some point in the past, she told her daughter, Lucca, the story of an ancient adventurer. This story was also told to her son-in-law, which inspired him to use it as the subject of one of his books.

Pokémon Horizons: The Series

In HZ001, Amethio introduced himself to Liko as someone sent by her grandmother, however this turned out to be a lie and his interest was only in the pendant and the power it possessed.

In HZ003, she was briefly seen in Liko's dream. In the dream, Liko remembered the day she received the pendant as a gift.

She reappeared in HZ009 during a flashback to Liko's earlier dream.

In HZ012, it was revealed that Diana was living somewhere in the Galar region. Liko and the other members of the Rising Volt Tacklers then decided to travel there.

In HZ024, Diana was at her old castle where she reunites with Liko and meets her friends Roy and Friede, who was one of Lucca's student. Diana also meets Liko's Pokémon partners Sprigatito and Hatenna, which excites her. Also, Diana reunites with Terapagos and explains her past to Liko and her friends. However, the Explorers, who have been following Liko and her friends, arrived at their location.

Character

As described by Liko, her grandmother is an adventurer, who travels all over the world and this ends up with her not having a fixed residence, never revealing her whereabouts to her family.
