Cave puddles

The cave puddles in many of the generation iv caves have big puddles that may have been used show what pokemon is (or was) there.

For example with the three lakes the puddles are very strange. File:Lake Uxie.png File:Lake Azelf.png File:Lake Mesprit.png

also on newmoon island the puddle is shaped like a moon File:Island Darkrai.png the same with fullmoon island File:Island Cresselia.png
