Ross

Ross is a minor character in the fifth Pokémon movie Pokémon Heroes. He is the top racer and longtime reigning champion of the Tour de Altomare, a water chariot race in the city of Altomare. He is the champion thanks to the speed of his Wailmer and his skilled sense of movement and direction. He races against Misty and Ash during their visit to the city, and continously switches positions with the two. Ash eventually falls out of the race due to the interference of Latias, leaving Ross and Misty to battle for victory. Misty and Ross are neck and neck, both passing the finishing line at the exact same time. A photo finish reveals Misty's Corsola passed the finish line a few seconds earlier than Wailmer, and Misty wins the race. Ross admits he is impressed with Misty's skills and appears to develop a soft spot for her. He offers her, Ash and Brock a tour around Altomare in his gondola. They except and are given a tour. They pass two statues of the city's guardians, Latios and Latias. He explains the legend of the two to the trio. He later drops them off at a nearby channel lined with restaurants and departs, wishing Misty and the others a good time. He is later seen in the credits riding his gondola with new passengers.
