Maren

Maren is a one-time character in Pokémon 2000, the second movie. She has green hair which is always protected by a black cap, and she owns a small boat which she uses to travel across the Orange Islands. She gives Ash, Misty, Tracey and their Pokémon a lift towards their next destination, but a sudden storm causes the boat to go offcourse and dock at Shamuti Island. Maren is surprised to see her old friend Carol and stays to join in the legendary festival. When Ash accepts the quest to locate the three spheres that will save the world, Maren volunteers to take him and Pikachu to the three islands. Unfortunately, they get caught in the storm again, and Maren crashes her boat onto Fire Island. With her boat highly damaged, Maren can only sit tight while Ash and Pikachu rush off to retrieve the Fire Sphere. Misty, Tracey and Melody show up later to look for Ash, Maren pointing them in the right direction. Maren isn't seen for the rest of the film, as her boat is in bad shape, but she is seen in the credits leaving Shamouti Island without Ash and the others, although its possible she took them to their proper destination earlier.
