A Stage 1 Pokémon is a type of evolution card in the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Stage 1 Pokémon evolve from Basic Pokémon.

A Stage 1 Pokémon can be placed in play if the corresponding Basic Pokémon (including those evolved from Baby Pokémon) is Active or Benched.

In the TCG, unevolved Pokémon that are resurrected from fossils are treated as Stage 1 Pokémon that evolve from fossils.

Pokémon such as Ivysaur, Raichu, and Omanyte are Stage 1 Pokémon.
