Cruise (Japanese: クルーズ Cruz) is one of Ritchie's Pokémon, a Pupitar.

It first appeared in The Mystery is History. Butch and Cassidy were attempting to steal a baby Lugia, but Ash and Ritchie refused to let that happen. To stop them, Ritchie sent out his Pupitar. It was very strong in battle, and it caused the two Team Rocket members to retreat.

Ritchie also used Cruise in A Promise is a Promise. Butch and Cassidy were once again trying to prevent the kids from rescuing Silver and its mother. Ritchie called upon Cruise to take care of them and the other Rocket Grunts in the area. After it defeated them, Cruise helped Ash and Misty free Silver from its cage by tackling the bars after Ash's Cyndaquil and Totodile and Misty's Poliwhirl had weakened them.

Although Cruise hasn't been seen since that episode, it's believed the Pokémon is still a member of Ritchie's team.

Trivia

Cruz was the only Pokémon species, (Template:P:Pupitar), that Ritchie owned that Ash didn't. Though some say that Ash's Lavitar comes close being the pre-evolved form. Though, Ash never officially caught it.
