The Battle round is an anime exclusive round in a Pokémon Contest. The contestants are required to battle each other while still making their moves look beautiful. There are 5 minutes per round, except in Sudden Death, where there is no time limit.
Scoring
- Each contestant starts with a fixed number of points.
- You lose points when:
- An oppenent's move hits your Pokémon.
- Your move misses.
- Your move doesn't look beautiful.
Winning a Contest Battle
You win if any of the following happens:
- You have more points when time runs out.
- Your oppenent loses all their points.
- Your oppenent's Pokémon faints.
If there is a tie when time runs out, the Battle goes into Sudden Death.
Sudden Death
Sudden Death is an extension of the battle if there is a tie at the end of 5 minutes. There is no time limit in Sudden Death. The round ends when one person runs out of points.
