'Ecologically similar Pokémon is a group of special Pokémon introduced in Generation IX alongside the Paldean forms. They are known by fans as convergent forms. They are similar to Regional forms but are very different. They resemble certain Pokémon but biologically look different. So far 5 are introduced: Wiglett lines, Toedscool lines, and Poltchageist lines. Jacq is the main researcher on the Ecologically similar Pokémon.

These species were first discovered by the World Pokémon Ecological Society. Wiglett was the first to be discovered and its evolution. Then, the Toedscool line, mainly in forests. In the land of Kitakami, Poltchageist was first discovered as part of the region's legend. These species have adapted differently thanks to environmental circumstances. With the exception of Poltchageist, all convergent Pokémon Types are completely different from the Pokémon they resemble.
