'Ecologically similar Pokémon is a group of special Pokémon introduced in Generation IX. They are known by fans as convergent forms. They are similar to Regional forms but are very different. They resemble certain Pokémon but biologically look different. So far 5 are introduced: Wiglett lines, Toedscool lines, and Poltchageist lines. Jacq is the main researcher on the Ecologically similar Pokémon.

History

These species were first discovered by the World Pokémon Ecological Society. Wiglett was the first to be discovered and its evolution. Then, the Toedscool line, mainly in forests. In the land of Kitakami, Poltchageist was first discovered as part of a legend.

In the Games

In Generation IX], you can find the convergent Pokémon all across Paldea region or in Tera Raid Battles.
