In the [[AG078|next episode]], he used it in the [[Rubello Town]] [[Pokémon Contest]]. In the first round, it used Ice Beam to freeze its own Bubbles, and then Hidden Power to launch the projectiles at [[Sonny]]'s {{p|Girafarig}} to knock it out. It then managed to outscore [[Savannah]]'s {{p|Lairon}} by hitting it with Hidden Power in the finals to win the Contest.

| As the pre evolution of the mascot of his favorite baseball team, Elekid is one of the most important member of Casey's Pokémon team. Although it was very naughty as a wild Pokémon he seemed very friendly with Larvitar and teaching some little tricks and defending at at times from Team Rocket.
