Potion: Difference between revisions

A potion is a type of item from the Pokémon games. They can be used during or out of battle to restore a Pokémon's HP. They can often be found on the ground, whether readily visible or hidden from sight and requiring an Itemfinder to locate, and can be bought at nearly every Poké Mart.

Types of potion

The standard and most common kind of potion. Costs File:Pokébuck sign.gif300 in Poké Marts. Restores 20 HP.

File:SuperPotionSprite.png Super Potion

An improved potion over the regular potion. Costs File:Pokébuck sign.gif700 in Poké Marts. Restores 50 HP.

File:HyperPotionSprite.png Hyper Potion

An improved potion over the super potion. Costs File:Pokébuck sign.gif1500 in Poké Marts. Restores 200 HP.

File:MaxPotionSprite.png Max Potion

The best and least common kind of potion. Costs File:Pokébuck sign.gif2500 in Poké Marts. Restores HP to full.

File:FullRestoreSprite.png Full Restore

This item doubles as both a Max Potion and a Full Heal. Costs File:Pokébuck sign.gif3000 in Poké Marts. Restores HP to full, and heals poisoning, paralysis, sleep, burn, or freeze.

Secret Potion

A key item in the Generation II & IV games. This is found in Cianwood City's Poké Mart and used to heal Jasmine's Ampharos, Amphy. In Diamond & Pearl, Cynthia, the Pokemon League Champion, will give you this to give to the Psyduck to make them move out of your way after getting Pastoria's gym badge.

In the anime

Potions have been used on occasion in the Pokémon anime. Usually, Brock carries them in his backpack and uses them to heal injured Pokémon.
