A chair is a type of item introduced in Generation III, debuting in Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. In those games, chairs can be used to decorate Secret Bases. All chairs can be bought in Fortree City, except for the Pretty Chair, which is made by the glass blower on Route 113 in exchange for 6000 ashes. Every chair has a corresponding desk.
There are nine kinds of chairs in total:
- Small Chair - $2000
- Pokémon Chair - $2000
- Heavy Chair - $2000
- Ragged Chair - $2000
- Comfort Chair - $2000
- Brick Chair - $2000
- Camp Chair - $2000
- Hard Chair - $2000
- Pretty Chair - 6000 ashes
Generation V

In Generation V, chairs make a return. However, they can be used to customize the Pokémon Dream World, and can be bought from berries.
