The Lost Satchel (Japanese: だれかのおとしもの Someone's Lost Property) is a type of item introduced in Generation VIII.

In the core series games

Effect

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, if a player blacks out, they lose some of their items. If they do, their lost items can appear within a satchel as a Lost Satchel in roughly the place where they blacked out, which can be found by other players.

When picking up a Lost Satchel, it is not added to the retrieving player's satchel; instead, the satchel is immediately returned to its owner, with the message "The satchel was sent back to <player>! Thanks for helping!" When a Lost Satchel is returned, the player that lost the items can retrieve those items from the menu. When retrieving another player's satchel, the player can gain up to one hundred Merit Points, which can be exchanged for various items in Jubilife Village. Occasionally, the retrieving player may receive a copy of the item mentioned in that satchel's description.

When playing offline, some Lost Satchels with a pool of pre-determined names (Maven, Ava, Prosperity, Annie, Richie, Max) may still appear.
