Xerneas (Japanese: ゼルネアスEX XerneasEX) is a Fairy-type Basic Pokémon-EX card. It was first released as part of the XY expansion.
Card text
This attack does 30 damage to 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)
This Pokémon can't use X Blast during your next turn.
Release information
This card was included as both a Regular card and a Full Art card in the XY expansion, first released in the Japanese Collection X. Both prints feature artwork by 5ban Graphics. It was later reprinted as one of the XY Black Star Promos with new artwork by 5ban Graphics that was included in the Legends of Kalos Tins released on March 12, 2014. This print, as well as a reprint of the Full Art card from Collection X were later included in the Japanese Super Legend Set: Xerneas-EX & Yveltal-EX, made available from November 14, 2014. A Non Holo version of the Regular Collection X print was included in the Japanese M Master Deck Build Box Power Style, released on August 7, 2015. The Regular print was reprinted again in Japan, as a Mirror Reverse Holofoil in the Premium Champion Pack.
This card was reprinted as one of three Pokémon-EX cards included in the Shiny Kalos Tins, released on May 4, 2016, with new artwork by Eske Yoshinob. This print was later included as a Secret card in the Japanese Mythical & Legendary Dream Shine Collection released on July 16, 2016.
The XY Regular print was rereleased in the Celebrations expansion's Classic Collection for the Pokémon 25th Anniversary. This print features the 25th Anniversary logo in the bottom right corner of the artwork. In Japan, it was reprinted as part of the Promo Card Pack 25th Anniversary Edition with a red and gold "25th" logo in the bottom right corner of the artwork. Both prints are Confetti Holofoil and have etching similar to Full Art cards.
