Hi

I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently. You may not be aware of this, but Bulbapedia has a Userspace policy that asks users to try and minimize the number of userspace edits they make in a short period of time. Heavy editing of these personal pages can put undue stress on the server, so please leave your page alone for now and go help out in the mainspace. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so please help us to complete it! If you edit the mainspace more often, you will be allowed to edit your userpage more often too. Thanks! ----Liquid ICE (User:Cold)(page, talk) 04:50, 16 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hold on!

If you did not read your last warning, then please read it now. You have edited the User: namespace too much. In the past, no one was allowed to edit their userpages because some users were over-editing their own userpages. Your personal editing privileges can be taken away, so please do not edit your page any more for now. Thank you. ---- MAGNEDETH 05:16, 17 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Userspace edits

Ok. Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, almost everybody treated Bulbapedia as a Pokémon Myspace. For them, it was a place to post their teams, a place to publish fanfics, and a place to create crazy games for the other users. This, of course, meant a lot of userspace editing. The problem was that Bulbapedia was not designed to be a social network. It's an encyclopedia. When the userspace was over-edited, the server slowed. This made it harder for people using (and editing) encyclopedia to carry out the intent of Bulbapedia. As a result, the userspace was locked completely for a couple of months. Over this time, the mainspace (the articles) grew immensely. Now, editors are allowed to edit the userspace again, but on the condition that they don't do it too often and that they contribute to the mainspace on a productive level, too. We see userspace editing as a privilege, and it can be taken away if users don't comply with one of the few terms for the service we provide. There is a lot to do around here, and I hope you are willing to help! Thanks for listening. </rant> —darklordtrom 05:29, 17 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Userspace

you were warned officially twice, then you came and complained to me, and i told you the warnings stand. then Trom gave you a big explanation as to why you should stop, and you still have the gaul to edit? well now you literally cant edit your page. so make some mainspace edits, and maybe well let you back in. -- MAGNEDETH 03:03, 22 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
