You know... Donkarasu is the Japanese name and Honchkrow is the English.

Don is:

  1. English: Mafia Boss
  2. Breton: deep
  3. French: gift, talent, donation
  4. Italian: father or title of respect for a man
  5. Northern Sami: You or Thou
  6. Old English: To do
  7. Spanish: gift, talent, title of respect for a man
  8. Turkish: underpants or frost

Brush up on your language.PokeManiac102 20:40, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

And the purpose of that is? I just commented on the part wich says that "don" on Spanish was "lord", and is not "lord", wich also you clearly state above. Do is wrong to note those little "errata"? --Gaudhi 20:42, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

And what was with that Doncrow thing?PokeManiac102 20:48, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Is from an old discussion we (the people of that place) had on a forum board, previous to the release of the English version of the games. The discussion was like a contest, about how the U.S country may change the original Japanese names of the new generation of pokemon. Almost everyone (in that board) was agree to keep the name "Doncrow" (by doing a poll) since "don" is like a même for all mafia-like behaviours, but it seems they (the ones at care of translating the pokemon games in the U.S) changed it to a less known name (honch), at least abroad (in other countries where they are more busy learning their own tonges than foreign languages). Nothing else. --Gaudhi 20:52, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

I have no idea what you just said about do except the errataPokeManiac102 20:52, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Bulbapedia, Alamos!

As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your editing:

  • For a basic overview of wiki code, see this page.
  • The manual of style is very important. Make sure to read it. It outlines all official policies of Bulbapedia.
  • Keep an eye on the Messages from the Editor on the main page, to stay informed on current events on Bulbapedia.
  • The word Pokémon is spelled with a capital P and an accented é. The P, of course, is accessed easily by holding Shift and pressing the P key, while the é can be accessed using Alt + 130 or Alt + 0233 on a Windows computer, and Option + e, then e again on a Mac. Otherwise, you can click it in the character palette below the editbox.
  • The word Poké Ball is spelled as two words. The "Poké" part is identical to the four beginning letters in "Pokémon"; "Ball" is spelled with a capital B (which is, again, accessed by holding Shift and pressing the B key). The spelling "Pokéball" arises frequently, but is incorrect.
  • The word "you" and all forms of it should not be used on encyclopedic pages unless it is a quote from Pokémon or other media. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, not a walkthrough.
  • On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
  • The use of link templates is official policy. For an explanation on their use, see the page on shortlinks.
  • If you happen to spot a vandal in the recent changes that has not been dealt with, please see this page for how to deal with it.
  • A list of pages that are linked to, but have not been created, can be found at this page. A list of short articles that may require more information can be found here, while a list of articles that need improvement can be found here.
  • For a future capture, release, trade, or evolution of a Pokémon belonging to a main character of the anime, please do not create or move the page to reflect your suspicions, even if they are shared by many others. Policy here is to wait until the episode in which the event happens takes place is aired, unless there is substantial evidence for the suspicion (such as Brock's Happiny being held in his arms).
  • Image uploading is done on Bulbagarden Archives, a separate wiki accessible through the toolbox in the sidebar. You will have to register separately for it, as well. This is done so that both Bulbapedia and Bulbanews have access to the images uploaded.
  • If you want to make a page about a character you made up, please create it at User:Alamos/(name), not merely (name). Bulbapedia's main namespace is reserved for actual, official Pokémon, items, characters, and locations. Also, please try to make sure that subpages are not categorized by templates used within.
  • Having said this, please make sure that you do contribute adequately to the main namespace. Bulbapedia is not MySpace or Facebook.
  • A list of the admins that you can contact in case of a problem, can be found here.

Thank you, and have a good time editing here! Shiningpikablu252 00:41, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

Why in your signature does it say Gaudhi? It has to do something with your username which is Alamos.PokeManiac102 20:55, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm from Barcelona, and I live by the Gràcia distric, almost near to the Park Güell. I use the name "Gaudhi" because it did a cameo appereance on the 10th movie. Alamos was just a random username I came up because the city where the 10th movie develops is called Alamos aswell. Didn't bothered to work up a better signature since I just recent arrived to this wiki... Hope my sudden intrusion doesn't bothers but I'm here just to contribute on the wiki, not to going vandalizing the place. I'm on several other wikis and I just hope to contribute on the coding and template part in this one (just now I don't know how, but I have some ideas in my sleeve wich I may use on a sandbox - if I manage to find one first). --Gaudhi 21:14, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

A Signature Policy is currently being discussed in the forums. If it is made, your sig may be in violation of the policy.PokeManiac102 21:02, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Patience please. Your changes are preventing me to answer on the second I read your previous questions. T_T --Gaudhi 21:15, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
