A Trick Room team is a competitive battling double battle team revolving around the move Trick Room. There are only a couple requirements in making a Trick Room team.
Basic Strategy
The main idea of a Trick Room team is to use the move in the first turn so your slow Pokemon can always go first.
Pokemon
Moves
You are going to need your first two Pokemon with these moves:
1.Trick Room
---------- ---------- ----------
2.Fake Out
---------- ---------- ----------
The rest is more open for what you think is best.
Stats
You want your Pokemon to be as slow as you can make them. You also want your 1st Pokemon's defense and special defense to be very high, too.
Items
Your first Pokemon should have these items.
1.Focus Sash
A good item for your other Pokemon would be the Lagging Tail, which makes Pokemon slower.
Execution of the Strategy
Turn 1 Your Pokemon use Trick Room and Fake Out. Since Fake out will always go first(on the first turn), that attack will cause whatever Pokemon you attack to flinch. Remember, this won't work if both of your opponent's Pokemon are Ghost-types. That will cause one of their Pokemon to be not attacking your Trick-Roomer that turn. Because your Trick-Roomer is only taking one attack that turn, and is wearing a Focus Sash, that means that it will not faint in turn one.
Turn 2 Now that Trick Room is up, use an attack that hurts both opponents (e.g. Rock Slide) and one that boost a stat of your team , except speed, such as Light Screen or Barrier.
Turn 3 Now is the time to attack full-on with both of your Pokemon, because the duration of Trick Room will end at turn 5.
Once Trick Room drops, use Trick Room again if you can.
Pokemon Recommendations
Here are some Pokemon that would be very good for Trick Room teams:
Munchlax (because of lack of speed)
Shuckle (because of lack of speed)
Slowpoke (because of lack of speed and can also use Trick Room)
Bronzor (can use Trick Room and has high defense)
Wobbuffet (with slow speed can always counter or mirror coat from turn before)
There are also some Pokemon who are not good for Trick Room Teams:
Deoxys/Speed Forme (high speed)
Jolteon (high speed)
Ninjask (high speed)
Yanma (speed boost)
Yanmega (speed boost)
