The Slotherak is an alias for one of the best sports in Pokémon fandom. He exploits games with cheats others make, and finds workarounds for those who don't like to cheat. He has so far found very little help for non-cheaters, but he is still working around the clock to help them beat the cheaters.

He has been studying the "WONDER GUARD SPIRITOMB" hack, and has found a FATAL flaw. This hack was invented to make an "invincible" Pokémon, by using the WONDER GUARD ability, which prevents non-supereffective moves from causing DIRECT damage. Since SPIRITOMB (or SABLEYE for that matter,) have no type weaknesses, being both DARK and GHOST, this would (in theory) make the Pokémon invincible. HOWEVER, when the move(s) ODOR SLEUTH and/or FORESIGHT are used, GHOST type Pokémon are suddenly able to be hit by NORMAL or FIGHTING type moves (this can also happen with NO GUARD, an ability exclusive to the MACHOP family, or with SCRAPPY, an ability sometimes possessed by MILTANK or KANGASKHAN). This, coupled with the fact that DARK types are weak against FIGHTING types, can cripple most WONDER GUARD SPIRITOMBS! As a result, the Slotherak has seen many SPIRITOMB with 999 in all stats. If this is the case, use TOXIC on them, and it wouldn't be a bad idea to give it a FOCUS BAND/SCARF. It can guarantee that the SPIRITOMB is poisoned, even if they have a LUM or PECHA BERRY! Alternatively, you could use PERISH SONG, and keep using ENDURE while holding LEFTOVERS (this keeps ENDURE effective, and also works great when coupled with PROTECT and/or DETECT). It can and will save your life! Another option is to use MOLD BREAKER, or even use a Pokémon with FIRE FANG. Somehow, this move cuts through WONDER GUARD, even if it is not super effective! (one has to WONDER why they didn't GUARD against this move...)

Another hack the Slotherak has studied involves the NO GUARD ability, coupled with HORN DRILL, GUILLOTINE, FISSURE, and/or SHEER COLD. This is a dangerous combo, as normally these moves have a 30% chance of hitting the target, easily earning them the "Least Accurate Moves" award, but the NO GUARD ability changes these moves to 300% accuracy (AKA "dodge this!"). Currently, the only workaround is to make the moves have no PP, but this is hard to pull off... Especially if the said Pokémon has more speed than your own. Or, if you can, change the opponent's ability with WORRY SEED, or use SKILL SWAP, or use GASTRO ACID on it. Whatever floats your boat.

As for any Pokémon that has 999 in at least one stat, here is another workaround! Use a DITTO against them (or a MEW/SMEARGLE that knows transform), and make sure it's holding a quick claw. If you're lucky, you can move first and copy the enemy's stats!

So far, that's all the workarounds he has found, but he is still working, never fear!
