About Me
I am a Pokemon event trader, collector, and researcher. I started trading Pokemon online in June 2007 on GameFAQs. I joined a guild called the Team Rocket Guild, participated in competitive battling using Smogon rules, and traded for some events, shinies and fan-made events. In June 2008 I lost my Diamond cartridge which had 12 events including a self-obtained TRU Manaphy, a box of shinies and quite a few fan-made events made by GameFAQs users. A few months later, my DS broke. I bought a DS Lite in April 2009 and used Pearl and Platinum to start trading events on May 8, 2009 and I became affiliated with Pokemon Secure. I traded events on Pokemon Secure, GameFAQs and Neoseeker from May 2009 until gen 5 released in the US when I switched hobbies. After Pokemon Bank was enabled for Sun and Moon in January 2017, I found my collection and used it to trade for newer events and and learned about newer practices such as proofing. I started researching the legitimacy of my events and other traders' events thanks to the C.E.A.L Guild on GameFAQs, no one else was doing it and I had good memories when Pokemon Secure ran legitimacy checks for events. I helped clean up the trading scene and removed popularly traded hacked events with reasons on why they were hacked. In 2020 I started researching the distribution of events to help give reputations to people who went to an event themselves, gave testimonies or online reviews of the events and to correct how a Pokemon was distributed or where and give sources on the distributions.

My Event Research
My research focuses on gen 3 and gen 4 Japanese and American event distributions. I am a New York local, so I have many in-person contacts that were able to provide me with local event information such as PCNY. The community I traded with in 2009 and 2010 was also a good source in finding contacts and first hand information about many gen 4 events. The focuses of my research are listed below, but I have also helped with research for the Trade and Battle Day JEREMY Pokemon and the Korean Pikacafe tournaments.
Pokemon Stamp Absol - This is the only place on the internet that has full and truthful information about the Japanese Pokemon Stamp distribution in 2003. With first hand accounts, I blew the cover off of the mysterious Pokemon Stamp distribution and dispelled previous rumors and information thought to be real.
Pokemon Center New York - This research focuses on people who attended the original gen 3 PCNY distributions in 2003 and 2004 and later traded them online to other collectors. I traced down owners for specific PCNY Pokemon that have been traded online to help prove authenticity and give the owners a good reputation. Any PCNY not listed here are either fake, have not been traded online or generated years later through the distribution machine.
Festa 2005 Sunday Wobbuffet - Previously though to only have 100 distributed in total, I looked through first hand accounts and understood how the distribution worked and how people received them.
Daisuki Club GTS Bidoof, Shinx, Ralts - Daisuki Club distributed Bidoof, Shinx and Ralts with OTs based on staff members in the Daisuki Club over the GTS in March and April 2009. I documented the distribution with first hand accounts, plus testimonies from a few friends who received them first hand in the GTS, received the strap prize in May 2009, and traded the Pokemon online.
Worlds 2009 Golgo Trades - At Worlds 2009, Chief Golgo from Pokemon Sunday traded a few of his Pokemon to children playing various language games to get unique Pokedex entries. A few friends at Pokemon Secure obtained these and I have received first hand testimonies explaining these trades.
PokeTimes Twitter Trades - In gen 8 to showcase the various ways to exchange Pokemon, I helped document the distribution of and first hand accounts for Chansey, Clefairy, Stantler, Gible and Bidoof.
Pokemon Scoop - A Japanese magazine that ran from 2002 until sometime after 2011. I helped scan issues of the magazine with a friend to host on his site. These magazine issues have been helpful for research in our other projects.
Events Needed for Research
Specific Pokemon: (need these in gen 4 .pkm/pk4 file format)
- 00164 PCNYd Seviper - With a Quiet Nature and a gen 4 Pal Park date of May 19, 2007, this comes from the Unknown Collector Summer Set in our article. Traded only a few times, last seen with DarkDragonite/ShiningYoshi.
- 00180 PCNYd Kingdra with a Gentle Nature - Was seen very early in June 2007 but was later modified and mass traded. I believe the Gentle Kingdra is authentic.
- 00390 PCNYc Cacturne with a Serious Nature - Traded with heavy restrictions in gen 4, and being the only Cacturne left from that time that has a chance of being authentic, I would like to see this Cacturne to see if it's authentic or not.
- 00421 PCNYd Milotic with a Careful Nature - Judging by the gen 4 Pal Park date of June 16, 2007, the person who obtained this may have also obtained a Party of the Decade Moltres which gives credibility to the authenticity of this Milotic.
- 00468 PCNYd Seviper with a Lonely Nature - Comes from the Unknown Collector Box Set in our article. The last person who had this Seviper was DarkDragonite/ShiningYoshi.
- 00642 PCNYc Aggron with a Careful Nature - The gen 4 Pal Park date is February 19, 2010 and the only person who has mentioned this Aggron online was Sharpstitch on Neoseeker in November of that year. It's possible this Aggron is something he self-obtained. I'm looking for this Aggron or a way to contact Sharpstitch.
- 00653 PCNYc Absol with a Naughty Nature - Comes from the Unknown Collector Box Set in our article. The last person who had this Absol was DarkDragonite/ShiningYoshi.
- 02730 おり GTS 2009 Ori Bidoof - The most restricted GTS 2009 event from trading communities. Due to a large scale scam, popular modifications have been traded in communities (Naive/Proud of its power, Mild/Mischievous) and they were legitimized by holding an authentic mail. I'm looking for the original Bidoof that held the mail with the first keyword of the mail being ネオラント/Lumineon. There is also another Ori Bidoof that exists with a different held mail. I'm looking for either one of these Bidoofs.
Wondercards:
- The wondercards for PCNY Wish Exeggcute, Drowzee, Chansey, Kangaskhan, Lickitung and Farfetch'd. This will be very hard to find because it's assumed that many people who had them later downloaded the Mystic Ticket distribution at Nintendo World Store a few months later.
- The wondercards for Pikacafe Electivire, Magmortar and Tangrowth and the wondercard descriptions for Electivire and Magmortar. I have names of many people who attended but most did not interact with foreign communities and fewer had the ability to extract their wondercards.
- The wondercard for 07310 GER Nzone Pikachu. A few traders in 2010 associated with Pokemon Secure had access to this wondercard. I am looking for one of these people.
Others:
- Information about owners of the unidentified PCNY or PCNY Wish events listed in our article to ask for testimonies and give reputations and authenticity to their Pokemon. The owner of the 07588 HIME PCNY Wish set is likely someone on Neoseeker in October 2013. The owner of the Unknown Collector Box Set was someone who went by the name of "chaos" and had numbers in their name. The owner of the Unknown Collector Monster Pair was someone who originally traded them out on GameFAQs in August 2007. The owner of the Unknown Collector Spring Trio and the Unknown Collector Summer Set was someone who traded them through Serebii's IRC in June 2007 and therefore has no history or records of ownership. The owner of the Unknown Collector Summer Set #2 is likely I_Want_Shiniez on Serebii but there is no modern contact information for them.
- The real distribution week dates for Gardevoir, Salamence and Tropius at Pokemon Center New York. On Bulbapedia it's currently listed as an unknown Spring distribution. It's currently theorized that this distribution took place in May or June 2004, possibly during a Memorial Day Weekend promotion called Jirachi Wish Maker Weekend. I am looking for the flyer or postcard advertising this distribution. If you or someone you know has it, please take a picture and send it to me!
- Wish Absol with the OT 「カイチョウ」 and ID 31031. This is the distributed Pokemon Stamp Absol. I prefer if an original winner contacted me, but if you find this on a save file I am still interested. If it's still in a gen 3 game, I prefer if you back up the gen 3 save file and send me the .pk3 or the save file. If it's migrated to a higher gen that's okay.
- Teeter Dance Pichu with the OT 「カイチョウ」 and ID 31031. This is the distributed Pokemon Stamp Pichu. I prefer if an original winner contacted me, but if you find this on a save file I am still interested. If it's still in a gen 3 game, I prefer if you back up the gen 3 save file and send me the .pk3 or the save file. If it's migrated to a higher gen that's okay.
- Scans of the winner list in the November 2003 1st-6th grade editions of the Shogakukan School Year Magazine. I suspect the winner's list in this issue provides some information about Kaichou Absol winners, if anything the trainer card numbers of winners. Request the table of contents for this issue from Japan's NDL, request the important page numbers for the winner's list and any page that has Stamp information, scan the pages and send them to me.
- 13579 JEREMY Slowpoke with a Naive Nature. Please tell me the characteristic if you offer. I have the stats screen of the real Slowpoke in gen 3 but because of the low level, we can't determine IVs or characteristic.
- 13579 JEREMY Sandshrew with a Docile Nature. Please tell me the characteristic if you offer. I have the stats screen of the real Sandshrew in gen 3 but because of the low level, we can't determine IVs or characteristic.
- 50901 ハドウ Hadou Regice, Registeel, Regirock preserved in gen 3. From the distribution, you could only download one Pokemon per cartridge per movie watch, and it's likely that someone with these Regis also downloaded a Meowth with mail contents listed below.
- 676088 ポケタイムス PokeTimes Gible - Need to compare with the one I was given.
- 500031 ポケタイムス PokeTimes Stantler
Other Events I'm Looking For
- Scans of these Pokemon Scoop magazine issues: Winter 2003, Spring 2008.
- Level 32 PCNYb/PCNYc Seadra from someone who originally went to the event and was not generated years later by the distribution machine.
- PCNYd Sableye from someone who originally went to the event and was not generated years later by the distribution machine.
- PCNYd Mawile from someone who originally went to the event and was not generated years later by the distribution machine.
- 50318 Pokepark Meowth with held mail preserved in gen 3, and held mail contents: 「この なつ えいが みて くれ た きみ に ありがとう!!」
- Other GTS 2009 Bidoof, Shinx, Ralts not in my event list. I have a list of handfuls that were traded in 2009 so I would like to look at them using modern legality methods.
- 11153 WINTER2013 Scizor in languages other than English.

- 04155 Korean Strategy Guide Full Story Shaymin in English, Spanish, Italian languages. Preferably looking for ones with proof.
- Pokemon Center Hiroshima Mega Eggs Redistribution - Ralts, Carvanha, Numel, Swablu, Bagon. Distributed in 2016 at PC Hiroshima, they're differentiated by having relearn moves in their moveset. I'm looking for unhatched eggs stored in a .pk6 file, but hatched eggs are also okay. Preferably looking for ones with proof.
- 05056 Korean WCSK16 Mewtwo in languages other than Korean, English, German. Only looking for ones with proof.
