In Japan, this card was available as an Unnumbered Promotional card on an insert in the November 2000 issue of CoroCoro Comic, released on October 15, 2000.

Trivia

• Unown R and J were the only Generation II Unown forms not released in a Neo Series expansion. As this card was not localized outside Japan, whereas Unown J became a promotional card, Unown R did not see a non-Japanese version until EX Unseen Forces.
• The text on the bottom of the card border reads: "CoroCoro Comic November issue bonus card."
