Baby and Restored should be downgraded
So, the official rulebooks don't give Baby and Restored the same prominence of other stages. Restored Pokemon currently sit at the very bottom of the Appendix, far far away from the much more prominent Basic, Stage 1, and Stage 2. (That's true even of the Next Destinies rulebook, by the way, although only Sword and Shield on rulebooks start prefixing the section with "Some Fossil Pokemon" rather than "Fossil Pokemon") They're also in the glossary, but everything is in the glossary. While the archives aren't as full for rulebooks of that era, Baby is similarly only named in the glossary and in the attack procedure for the E-Card rulebooks that I've found. Therefore, I feel that these stages should be treated in the same way we treat LEGEND: as Stages unique to Pokémon variations. This means I feel one of two things has to happen:
- Baby and Restored get moved to a new row, because they are not comparable to Basic, Stage 1, and Stage 2
- All of the other unique stages get to be in this infobox, including LEGEND, VSTAR, VMAX, MEGA, and friends, because this infobox is about every evolutionary stage.
I personally prefer the former option, but I guess either works. (If Restored Pokemon didn't get discontinued in Sun and Moon, there would be an argument to keeping it on the same level as Basic, but as it was, I think it stops being as important.) Salmancer (talk) 16:46, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
