Cell Background Color
Can the background color for each Pokémon (icon, nme, and candy count) be the light color of the type?
background:#{{{{{2|???}}} color light}}
I think it would look better than a flat white color. -- Rmkane (talk) 14:26, 18 July 2016 (UTC)
- Not a good idea. There is absolutely such a thing as too much color. White is a good, constant reference point/anchor. Tiddlywinks (talk) 14:30, 18 July 2016 (UTC)
Suggestions: Remove the header? Add support for form name display?
A cursory search suggests this hasn't already been suggested, nor is anyone working on it, at least not presently. So...
Firstly, I wanted to suggest adding support for a form name displayed under the species names, something like
{{#if {{{formDisplay1|}}}|<br>({{{formDisplay1}}})}}
This would benefit regionals (and, I feel, others, like Wormadam or Urshifu). For instance, Pikachu could be templated if this feature were added to evo-branch-2. Evidence suggests there have been others who at least in the past thought this idea warranted some experimenting.
Next, I was thinking that this and the the lop/evo templates might benefit from having the header row removed. It's just one full-row cell, and there are some variations on it as well (e.g. Eeveelutions and Hitmons getting links). Maybe make a separate template for the header cell?
More importantly, of course, there are places where the separation would clean up the page. Several regionals, again, would benefit from being able to stick multiple lop/evo's or even lop/evo-branch-1's (Slowpoke) under a single heading, removing the need to write row after row of pipe code.
I'm not quite active enough to be able to experiment on this myself without breaching the userspace policy. Does anyone else think it's worth the time and effort?
