Template:Main/doc

The {{main}} template is used after the heading of a section, to link to another article or a sub-article that is entirely about the topic of the section. For linking to a main category, {{maincat}} can be used.

Usage

This template is used immediately after a section header.

{{ main | <article title> | section = <section title> | <display text> }}

Template fields

  • 1: Main target article.
  • section: Optional. If the target is a section on another page, the title of that section.
  • 2: Optional. Display text. Defaults to "<1> → <section>" if section is specified or just "<1>" otherwise.
